Adventure Day Slovenia
Come and join us on a full adventure day whilst exploring the wonders of the Triglav National Park in the North-West of Slovenia. We will take you to all the hidden places and points of interest throughout the park, stopping at each one. It is not a scenic van ride; it is the active adventure that will be the highlight of your Slovenia holiday!
Trip highlights
If you are staying at Lake Bled, this trip is the ideal way to explore the surrounding areas without the hassle of public transport and rigid timetables. The Triglav National Park has some amazing places to see. Discover them by joining our van driver and guide who will be giving you all the local insight and explanations along the way. Our vans sit 8 persons each. Being a part of a small group will ensure you get the most out of your trip.
Route and stops
We will start in the scenic town of Bled that the Outdoor Slovenia team calls home. It is known for its little lake, the fairy tale – like church island and the amazing medieval castle overlooking the area from the castle rock above the lake. The road will take us on a drive through the Zgornjesavska dolina valley towards Kranjska Gora. We will take a short brake at lake Jasna and enjoy the scenic view of the beautiful nature. From there we will continue along a windy road into the mountains. This will be an ascent towards the highest Slovenian mountain pass Vršič.
We will stretch our legs with a refreshing hike to the nearest peak for another breath taking view.
The descent from Vršič will take us into the Trenta valley known for its rich historical heritage and pristine nature. A short hike will take us to the stunningly beautiful source of the emerald river Soča. We can fill our water bottles with the crystal clear spring water.
When we descend into the town of Bovec we will have an awesome opportunity to go on the best rafting trip in Slovenia, or just a quiet lunch break.
After all the sights and impressions, we will take a car train ride to the Bohinj valley which is one of the highlights of the Adventure Day trip. There we will check out Bohinj lake, the old stone bridge and St John’s church. After a stroll around the area, a short ride will take us back to beautiful Bled.
Requirements and exclusions
The Adventure Day trip takes around 12 hours. It involves a fair amount of walking and hiking. Consequently, it is not appropriate for people with medical problems or small children. Please bring appropriate clothing (in case of cold weather) and sport footwear. You can also bring some money with you for food as meals are not included in the price.
